Farm Spotlight: Pine Branch Farm

Pine Branch Farm, founded and managed by lifelong horsewoman Meredith Krupp, has boarded some of Washington Fork’s mares since 2023. Together, the partnership has resulted in multiple “home runs” in the sales ring.

Pine Branch Farm is conveniently located between Lexington and Midway, Kentucky and provides top quality boarding, foaling and sales prep services for Washington Fork. They also provide lay-up and rehabilitation services for horses off the track.

Pine Branch was established in 2024 at the former Timber Town Stables. Prior to Meredith’s acquisition of the property, the 130-acre farm was the birthplace of horses including G1 Belmont S. winner Tonalist and Multiple Graded Stakes winner Charge It. It was also home to champions Havre de Grace, Songbird and Unrivaled Belle.

Prior to founding Pine Branch, Meredith developed her skills through valuable experiences in several facets of the thoroughbred industry, including but not limited to sales/consignments, reproductive work with a prominent veterinary clinic and a stop in Ocala on the yearling to two-year old side.

Meredith noted ““I'm very lucky that I got to be around some true horsemen who were really hands on… I think that's kind of what inspired me to go a bit more of the farm route. There's so much business behind it–I think more than what people think there is–but at the same time to be able to be hands on and be in the barn, it just seemed like the best of both worlds.”
